Hotel Solara - Nice

Super nice location, just a short walk from the beach and old town. The balcony was awesome for morning coffee and chilling with a glass of wine at night. Room was clean and comfy, the staff was really friendly and helpful. Love the in-room breakfast option!

We had a really nice trip here and would be happy to recommend. The hotel was unique and reliable, and the staff were outstandingly accommodating, appreciated the MARVELLOUS location near also the railway station and waterfront. Overall it was decent sized and recently refurbished with balcony.

Just spent 4 nights at Solara and loved it! The large balcony was perfect for morning coffee and the daily cleaning kept everything fresh. Location is unbeatable-right near the beach and tons of restaurants. Minor downside, the elevator is tiny, so pack light!

Very good value for the price. Fantastic location.!A block from the beach and the promenade.5 minutes walking to the Place Massina and about 10 to the Old Town. 2 minutes from the airport bus stop Congres ( bus number 98 ) The rooms are very basic but enough for the city trip. Our room was quite small but very clean with a nice terrace. Very friendly stuff.They will help you with anything.Recommended

The location is perfect, just a 5-minute walk from the beach.

The hotel is located in the pedestrian area of Nice, surrounded by restaurants and shopping, and only a few hundred meters from the beach. The rooms were very comfortable and well equipped, with wifi, ac, refrigerator, and tv. The view from the terrace was fabulous, overlooking the rooftops and Rue de France, and a fantastic place to enjoy breakfast, or share a bottle of wine. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and spoke excellent English.

The room was very basic. Sound proofing is not that good and you can hear all the other people who are staying next door to you. The windows cannot be closed completely, and since the hotel is located directly upstairs of the bar and restaurants area that means noise and loud music until pretty late.

Lovely balcony with a great city view.

It only fits one person and made transporting luggage tricky, especially since we were on the 4th floor. The free Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby. Not to mention, the noise from the nearby restaurants could be quite bothersome at night, impacting our sleep quality.

The hotel was very central, small and with personal service. The room was clean and appeared freshly decorated. The bed was very comforable and the room cleaned with fresh towels provided every day. The room and bathroom were light and airy. Althogh the rrom overlooked the busy pedestrian area, the doubleglazing shut out most of the noise. The staff were friendly and helpful. I particularly liked having breakfast served in my room every morning. The breakfast was a few euros more expensive than across the road in one of the cafes, but well worth it for freshness, privacy and convenience. Altogether I was very pleased with the hotel.

I did not like the carpet very much. I think it was new and because of that had quite a strong, though natural, smell. It was also rather uncomfortable to walk on without shoes!

I gotta chime in with all other reviewers to say that the service at the hotel is supreme. The hotel owners are very friendly and helpful and that just makes the stay so much more pleasant. The location is excellent and very central too, just a minute away from the sea, close to airport bus stop (coach 98) and loads of restaurants, shops, etc. Free wi-fi works excellent in the rooms. Air-conditioning works good too.

Well, the rooms are on the shabby side, do not expect modern, gleaming interior, bathroom is quite tiny, but given everything the hotel offers, I'd say the value for money is very good indeed. Bring earplugs just in case you sleep on the street-side, Nice parties on till late :) (or join in)

Noise from nearby restaurants can be bothersome at night!!! WiFi only available in the lobby is an inconvenience too!!!

Everything is excellant, the room is airy and compact with a north facing balcony, fridge and 2 single beds a table & 2 chairs. They provide coffee and croissants, that is good!

Excellent location right in the center of Nice,lots of shops and restaurant down the street,2 minutes from the sea.The hotel is on the top floors of an old building ,room with a nice little terrace for breakfast and beautiful view on the town,design is modern and simple and brand new,really quiet (i was on 5 th floor,not on the street )and clean.A really good surprise,definitely worth the price.
